To the Covefan who posted on the CCL messageboard you are completely wrong Darren & Anthony didn't stay at Cove because Cove would'nt release them Darren could of played for chertsey last night and Anthony a couple of weeks time but they declined. They don't want to go to chertsey they wish to stay at Cove.

I have read Dobbo's post and  I can confirm that Dobbo and Anthony did not want to go to Chersey, but wished to stay at Cove where they are truly welcome, We should value all our players who have shown immense loyalty to us and I know Koo and the committee are very grateful to them, so please get behind all our players and show them they were right to stay at Cove.

I have watched Cove a lot htis season at home and will keep on coming to home games.  I am delighted that Darren & Anthony have decided to stay.  It shows some great loyalty and that football is about more than money at this level and more about enjoying your football.  Personally i think they have been a couple of the best performers all season this season and cove should be very proud of haing players like them.  In recent weeks Anthony has been head and shoulders above any other player! keep up the good work lads!

I would also add i am please Dobbo senior has decided to stay, him and koo can now concentrate on taking cove forward

I  agree with  King Cove comments. today was an example of what they are doing, with a 1-0 win over Wembly, I hear the team spirit was also good and it is great to see Leon back and also Beardo, come on Beardo give it till the end of the season. Very Happy

we dont forget any player who plays for Cove however, some of those players named by lucky legs jumped ship as soon as dave huntigford came calling, there was no staying to fight for your place expt for  Danny Turner, who I agree got a raw deal, and as for Dobbo coming in, that happens in football and he has already made  a difference and he has already proved his loyalty to Cove. Is it not the done thing for players to fight for their place anymore?

Lucky Legs I’m sorry I can't comment on the players that were messed about at start of the season, because has you have so rightly mentioned I have jumped on the bandwagon mid season. I’m not sure what you mean by messed about, however
Coops came in as assistant manager at the start of the season and obviously brought in a number of players, maybe the situation wasn’t dealt with correctly, because of the inexperience of Coops as a manager. I must add and I have told Coops this, I think Coops will make a very good manager, but he needs to be a lot stronger willed, and needs to get some experience in management to progress.
I would like to think that if what happened at the start of the season occurred now it would be dealt with differently, and players would be managed better, which sometimes is difficult because every player wants to play, and football is all about opinions, and people have different opinions.
We are trying to get back on track after losing 6 or 7 first team players, we win one lose one at the moment which is understandable with all the upheaval in the last 2 weeks, but I’m hoping we can get back on track with the backing of everyone at the club, Koo is working hard to make this happen, we still want and are hoping to get the runners up position.

Hi people

thought would come on after reading some comments...Dobo didnt jump on the band wagon..we asked him to get involved with us so not sure why things thrown at him !! At the end of the day even though im not at the club i can say the players who left are starting with the club just werent up to being in a side pushing for top3 and this was proved as aug/sept we were 8th 9th in league and when the players we really wanted were in we shot up to Joint second so doesnt need a rocket scientist to show it was right ! but i am please cove and shown they will still be up and around the top 3.....Koo and dobbo will be fine......and to all the stick i have recd since going to chertsey well i like you all to know i have spoke to my work who have agreed to put the same amount of sponsorship money into cove in the summer which i can confirm is more that £3K as wont give exact figure as not right to do that...but i have agreed this due to not wanting cove to drop off what we have acheived this year and i know the committee are really pleased with this and like to think people will look at this in a different light now as dont know any other person to do this for club just left....good luck to everyone at cove

I am not sure who "lucky legs" is but can I suggest he shuts up and let us all put the coops situation behind us. Kevin has moved on and he has stated his  reasons and lets leave it at that, what we all need now is as dobbo says is for everything to settle down and we keep behind the lads and IF we finish runners up whata great place for Cove to be in and I can assure you we will be pushing on from that position and the committee are still committed to  pushing for Ryman league status- maybe that is in some people minds a jump too far but at  least we have ambition, and I think we have Coops and Koo to thank for  wakening that up.

As for sponsorship yes Dermologica have agreed to sponsor us again next year however the amount is not known yet. So lets all calm down and get  on with supporting Cove in the run in.
